Oregon black walnut dresser with solid maple drawer boxes. Soft-close Blum under mount drawer slides on all drawers. Three top drawers (approx 5" inside depth); four wider drawers below (approx inside depth 8").

Each dresser I make varies widely based on the character of the exact wood used. The piece shown here has some of the most interesting character-grade walnut I've ever seen. The solid walnut case and frame are resawn from a single slab and glued up into flat panels to make the "waterfall" continuous grain on each of the top corners. The drawer fronts are show-sawn veneer--much thicker and more customizable than what most people know about veneer. This allows for a lot of freedom with grain selection and the end result are seamless fronts that are more stable than solid wood to seasonal movement, and more sustainable as they use less western walnut than their alternative.

Hardware options are available--from integrate pulls to any hardware you prefer.

One available option--this dresser can be built without the continuous grain slab for the top and sides. This saves considerable effort in searching for boards long and wide enough to make this possible. Choosing "No" under "Waterfall/Continuous Grain Case?" saves $500. The same grade and character of walnut is used either way--the only difference is the continuous effect and perfect match between panels.
